Meet the skilled professionals who can help you enjoy years of great vision
Sue Wassall, Optometrist – GOC Number: 01-14378
- BSc Hons Ophthalmic Optics (Aston University)
- Membership of the British College of Optometrists (MCOptom)
- Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
- Member of Association of Optometrists (AOP)
During her 25 years in the profession Sue has worked for both high street chains and independent opticians, and quickly realised she far preferred the independent approach. Having her own business allows Sue to focus on what’s best for each individual customer without any distracting targets or time pressures. She took over the running of her two practices in February 1999 and they’ve been growing ever since.
Sue is married with two grown-up children and two golden retriever dogs. Her involvement in the community includes being a school governor for a local primary school. She enjoys walking in the countryside, watching rugby and spending quality time with family and friends. She has ambitions to try skiing again once she’s recovered from the serious fall she suffered on her last attempt!
Chris Bick, Dispensing Optician – GOC Number: D-5769
Chris left school at 16, unsure of what career he wanted. He found a job as a Trainee Dispensing Optician with a local independent optician, (under the supervision of Kevin Bone). Now Chris has 36 years of experience in optics behind him, of which 27 years have been spent in independent practices. Chris is also the sub-regional lead for the Association of British Dispensing Opticians, helping to support the professional growth and development of Dispensing Opticians.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys swimming, photography and science fiction. Chris is married to Heather and when they get chance they enjoy exploring France and French culture.
